Snackles Mandrill 8-Inch Plush

About this 8" Snackle

The mandrill is the only Snackle named after its species rather than given a first name, and it earns it — a grey-white mane, a long muzzle and a bag of Jolly Rancher sweets. Snackles, Series 3, 8" Plush, (Mandrill)

What comes in the box with this 8-inch Snackle

The 8-inch plush is the standard collecting size and the one most fans own several of. It stands up on its own, it is squeezable plush all the way through the middle, and the snack accessory is a printed fabric panel sewn into both paws rather than clipped on.

Snackles Mandrill carries a plain treasure rather than a licensed wrapper, which is how the original idea worked before the branded snack accessory arrived. The treasure is sewn into both paws, so the plush and its snack stay together.

Every full-size Snackles plush toy ships with a hangtag holding a birthdate, a hobby, a star sign and a folded origin story comic. The story comic is where the personality comes from, and it is the part collectors keep in a drawer rather than bin.

Is Snackles Mandrill made in another size?

Not on this shelf. Snackles Mandrill appears here only as the 8-inch plush, so there is no larger or smaller version of this character to collect. If you want the same character at another scale you are looking at a different range: the Snackles small size minis at 5 inches, the 8-inch plush as the collecting size, the 14-inch plushies for hugs, or a Super-Sized Snackle for the heaviest super size version of the same unique pattern.

The rest of Series 3

This listing is one of 14 Snackles plush toys on Series 3. A few of the others, so you can see what the shelf looks like before you open it:

There is also Snackles Anna, a cute 8-inch plush scoring 4.8. Snackles Jacob is another 8-inch plush on the same shelf, rated 4.8. Snackles Josh is the 14-inch plush version of that character, rated 4.8.

Snackles Levi comes as a 14-inch plush at $19.99 and is rated 4.8 by 301 reviewers. There is also Snackles Lucas, a cute 8-inch plush scoring 4.8. Snackles Lucas is another 14-inch plush on the same shelf, rated 4.8.

The full shelf, with every size and the current price on each listing, is on the Series 3 page. Collecting a range together is the usual way people do it, because the characters were designed as a set and a row of them on a display shelf reads better than one on its own.

Where this Snackle sits in the ZURU Snackles line

Everything in the line comes off the same design. The body shape, the super soft fabric and the squeezable plush fill are shared, which is what makes a mixed collection look deliberate rather than accidental. ZURU designed the proportions to scale, so sizes sit together well.

If you are deciding between shelves: Series 1 is the original cast, Series 2 is the licensed snack range including the Hershey's and Mentos pairings, Series 3 is the teen characters, and Snackles Disney has the licensed faces. For something bigger, a Super-Sized Snackle is the same pattern at a super size. For something small, the Snackles small size minis and a clip-on charm fit in a pocket.

It is a playful line with a lot of room for imagination, and the seasonal shelf adds Christmas, Halloween, Easter and Love Edition characters that are not reissued once the run closes. Most people find one favorite, then collect the rest of that shelf, and the joy of it is that every new find is another cuddly friend rather than a different kind of toy.
